Damit mit dem 705 auch alle Bänder genutzt werden können, benötigt das Gerät einen kleinen Eingriff. Wie auf dem oberen Bild ersichtlich müssen die beiden “Brücken” entfernt werden. Nach dem Einschalten sind dann alle Bänder verfügbar, resp. der 705 sendet durchgängig.
Was muss am IC-705 der Reihe nach ausgebaut werden, um die Frequenzerweiterung auszuführen?

Hi. I have tried this on the Japanese version to no effect. Radio all still works but no expanded TX anywhere.
Have tried partial and full rest but no joy.

Hi John, Unfortunately I can’t help there, I don’t know the country-specific differences.
I work with the 705 in EU-Version, – If JP-Versions have other TX Band Limits it could be, that it will only work within these TX Band Limits.

After the mods it was the same effect with no expand TX, but after deleting the whole Band-Edge settings (under Menue: –> User Band Edge) it will work when you edit , your country specific Band Edges, Band by Band, beginning with the lowest Band up to the highest Band.
